Welcome to the Landbase Circular

Welcome to the blog of Landbase Community Ventures:
a mission-driven, not-for-profit team working to build resilient community infrastructure based on landscape principles, environmental realities, and local needs.

At LbCV, we value a good conversation above just about anything else. Dinner with friends inevitably turns to talking, laughing, and arguing about big ideas around a fire or the kitchen table. This blog aims to translate those small late night talks into virtual conversations.

Being readers, writers, and thinkers ourselves, we will be using this space to engage with and process ideas related to our current reading, thinking, and work—sharing links and takeaways and starting discussions.

We are interested in having a conversation, but on this front, the internet is missing one important thing: the ability to listen. To combat that, we hope to fill this space in the coming months with interviews, book reviews, and guest posts.

We want to fill this space with more than our own voices.
In lieu of comments, we will solicit, publish, and respond to reader letters or feedback. If you would like to contribute to this blog, we would be happy to consider your work. Look for more information about how to join the conversation in the coming weeks.

Our interests are one in the same as our nonprofit’s interests:
Local Solutions to Global Problems, Sustainability, Resiliency, Complexity, Adaptive Capacity, Transdisciplinarity, Design Thinking, Community Design and Infrastructure, Local Ecological Knowledge, and Future Economies—all in the face of rapid environmental change.

We appreciate your interest in the work of Landbase Community Ventures and look forward to having you join in! Feel free to reach out to either of us with any questions, comments, or ideas for future blog posts.

Look for new blogs every other week on Monday Mornings and Subscribe here!
